Do you charge by the hour?

We charge by the job. We take many factors into account including, square footage, the surface being cleaned, architecture, materials used, complexity, travel time, and of course the amount of time to complete the job. Every job is different and we are not able to give a flat rate for any service

Do you own or rent your equipment?

We own all of our equipment. Our equipment is professional-grade and we have the experience and knowledge to use it correctly and produce the results you desire. Unprofessional equipment will yield unprofessional results so make sure the company you hire has what they need to complete a job and that they know how to use it correctly.

Will pressure washing damage my property?

The methods and care we use make pressure washing very safe for your property. There is always going to be some risk involved when pressure washing but we make every effort to mitigate these risks. Already damaged substrates are at particularly high risk but when we notice something that may become an issue we always make sure to discuss it with the customer before proceeding.

Do you need a ladder to clean my house?

 The vast majority of the time, no. Occasionally we have to break out an 8ft step ladder to hit some odd angles. We use a lower pressure chemical process to clean the house that we are able to apply from the ground.

What chemical do you use?

Every job may call for a different chemical to clean the surface desired and so we carry a variety depending on the job. The primary chemical that we use is sodium hypochlorite. This is the pressure washing industry-standard chemical for removing all types of organic growth. It is the most effective, safest, and most economical cleaning option. We use it at varying dilutions for different applications. Sodium hypochlorite is actually what is used to sanitize swimming pools and drinking water.

Will washing my house hurt my plants?

It absolutely can but we won’t let it. It is important to hire a company like us that understands how to protect your property. Some companies say they use an “eco-friendly” house wash but in all likelihood, they are not being completely honest and are using a sodium hypochlorite solution like the vast majority of professional companies do. To protect your plants, we give them plenty of fresh water before, during, and after we wash the house. This ensures no solution adheres to the leaves of any plants and that is properly diluted with water. Our solution is non-bioaccumulating, meaning that it will dilute and break down in the environment and not build up to harmful levels.

How do you make sure no water gets in my outlets or exterior lights?

Most exterior fixtures of any kind are designed to be able to survive rain and outdoor weather. However, we still do additional property protection to make sure everything stays water-tight. This includes taping and bagging and outlets, fixtures, exposed lightbulbs, keyholes, all doorbells, and anything else we see as a potential hazard. Not all companies take these steps which put you and your property at risk of damage.

Are you bonded, licensed, and insured?

We carry a $1 million general liability policy and are registered as an LLC with the state of North Carolina. Being bonded and licensed are not relevant terms for this industry in North Carolina. Bonds are not required by law for the pressure washing industry in NC and are not standard to have by any means. Although we carry a business license no license for pressure washing exists in this state. Some states require a pressure washing company to go in front of a licensing board similar to an electrician or a plumber but that doesn’t exist in this state for this industry. Because of this beware who you are hiring even if they claim to be licensed as that may not mean anything.

Do you clean the windows and gutters in a house wash?

We clean the entirety of all four sides of the house. This includes spraying the windows and gutters with our house wash mix. Your windows and your gutters will look 90% better but for perfection, window, cleaning and gutter brightening would need to be done as additional services which we do not offer at this time. Our house wash mix only attacks organic growth and specialty stains require different cleaning methods.

What causes my house, deck, and driveway to get dirty?

Organic growth is the number one source that causes surfaces to get dirty. This includes mold, mildew, algae, and lichens. This organic growth can turn wood and driveways gray and black and make your house turn green. A cool moist environment is typically the best setting for this type of growth. Our standard services attack this organic growth to kill and then remove it. Other stains require different approaches, some stains may not be possible to remove entirely.

Is the roof included in a house wash?

Roof cleaning is a separate service that is not included in a house wash. We very rarely offer roof cleaning as a service as we found our niche in mainly doing houses.

What services do you not offer?

There are several services that we don’t currently offer but we’re always trying to expand our service options. As of right now we very rarely offer roof cleaning. We do not currently offer paver and driveway sealing. We do not offer window cleaning or gutter brightening as separate services but both gutters and windows are cleaned under a standard house wash. We also do not clean out the interior of gutters as of now.

Do you remove window screens when washing my house?

No, we do not remove the window screens. You are more than welcome to remove them yourself prior to a house wash. Removing the screens can help get slightly better results but it is not required and the vast majority of houses we wash do not have the screens removed.
